Reading Overload? Read Something ‘Just for Fun’

My reading list is filled with non-fiction title after non-fiction title.  As a pastor, I read theology, leadership, church growth and small groups development books. Now, as a coach,  my reading list is filled with coaching ‘textbooks’, still more leadership, human development and listening skills.  Sometimes the reading of all the non-fiction is too daunting, too exhausting.  ’Downloading’ that amount of information is hard. It leaves me not able to hold onto all of it, but I have to, so what do I do?

I read something that is just for fun. Light fiction, funny memoir, classic sci-fi, all those things lighten the reading load. More reading is actually the answer to my non-fiction fatigue.

Big Question:  What do you like to read to shake off your ‘non-fiction fatigue’?

The mission of Matthew Reed Coaching is “To make the world a more effective and God honoring place, through coaching.” I love to help people genuinely experience the life they have always wanted. I’d be thrilled to be able to share with you the power of coaching.”
